The chasms

Along the Dordogne and Vézère valleys, there are some well-kept secrets. From caves to chasms, there is a whole underground world to discover, made of stalactites, stalagmites and other concretions, which have carved out veritable cathedrals of stone. Get your headlamps and let’s go on a journey to the centre of the Earth!

There’s no doubt that you’ll plunge into the abysses of Proumeyssac (25 minutes away) and Padirac (1h15 away). You can then retrace the prehistoric period by visiting the caves of Lascaux, Cazelle, Domme and Maxange.

The Gouffre de Proumeyssac

The grottes de Maxange

Let yourself be surprised by a unique and magical cave.
